About MetaBUG: A Global BSD Users Group Federation
The Global BSD User Groups organization was founded to help promote local BSD user groups by helping to share ideas and experiences with other BUG organizations.
Goals
- Foster inter-BUG relations and communications to increase unity in the BSD user group communities.
- Assist in increasing awareness of smaller user groups in the community.
- Facilitate idea and resource sharing through common access to meeting presentation topics and materials.
- Increase exposure to other BSD projects where local user groups may have less member interest or experience.
- Offer a BSD user group for those without a local BUG.
Participation
We want you involved in MetaBUG!
If you are a BSD user without a local group, or are interested in using BSD feel free to join our mailing list and watch our presentations. We’re working on ways to provide remote participation through streaming video of presentations.
If you are involved in organizing a BSD User Group or want to start a BSD User Group please get in touch!
We have a (now) low volume mailing list and are also on #metabug on irc.freenode.net.
