I am on OpenBSD 4.0/amd64 Release.

the page says

"Although this patch is only tested against -current, it should work
with OpenBSD 4.0 and -stable with minimal edits."

Is there some editing i need to do before I apply the patch and make
install in ports?

I am on IST i.e GMT + 5:30
