uses it ( it is run by a PCBSD developer I think on Debian but it
should be available for FreeBSD too )

yes I think uploading archive videos to google or yahoo from where
people can download will be a good Idea. it will preserve them as well
as reduce the load on the metabug servers.
that will also help people who have clients that don't support
streaming media :-)
