I agree completely. However, looking at the WordPress plugin
currently handling events (Event Calendar 3.1.0), it doesn't appear
to support the option of printing out the timezone or even using
UTC. Until we find a suitable workaround, I'll make sure that all
events have the date accurately represented in the announcement details.
